FAQs

How old do I need to be to train?

We only hold adult classes and you will need to be at least 18. Bujinkan Ninjutsu is a military/self-defense system, not a sport martial art. It involves the use of weapons and techniques that can result in serious injury.

There are Ninjutsu practitioners in their 80s, however, they have been training most of their lives, a basic level of physical fitness is more important than your age. Bujinkan Ninjutsu is not a sport, so it does not demand the same level of fitness that some martial arts require but it does include throws, so some level of fitness is required. If you are unsure, you should seek medical advice before training. If you do need further assistance on this, please feel free to contact us

What should I wear?

You should wear loose comfortable clothes i.e. a tracksuit and trainers or plimsolls. Once you become more advanced you will need to get a black gi; the instructors or senior students will be able to advise you on this.

Do I need to become a member?

No.

What do I need to pay for?

We only charge for lessons and grades.

What payment options do I have?

We charge £8 per lesson or £5 for students and the unemployed which can be paid in cash or by bank transfer at the end of the lesson. If you are training regularly you can pay £25 per month.

Is the Bujinkan Reading a profit-making business?
